Abstract :
Electromagnetic scattering is reinterpreted through systematic example as a shielding phenomenon across (perfectly conducting) obstacle interiors. Consideration is also given through concrete example (half-space Fresnel reflection/refraction problem) to volume self consistency at nonvanishing values whenever field penetration becomes allowed by virtue of the conductivity being lowered to a finite level instead.
