Abstract :
A specialised system for computing logarithms and anti-logarithms in binary form is described. A great simplicity is obtained if the base is of the form 1+2¿k. The precision is discussed and two examples are given. The computing time is, with t.t.l. circuits, of the order of 1 ms in the usual range of the analogue logarithmic convertors, and does not increase very much when the range of the numbers and the precision increase.
