Abstract :
The letter describes an interdigital surface-wave transducer with properties closely analogous to those of an electromagnetic quadrature hybrid junction. If the two electrical ports of such a hybrid-junction transducer are terminated in appropriate negative resistances, transmission gain is observed for an incident acoustic surface wave.
