Abstract :
An improved sampling-oscilloscope triggering system employing a separate countdown unit is described. It permits accurate observation of low-duty-cycle pulsed r.f. waveforms which need not be pulse-pulse phase coherent. This will be of particular benefit in detailed structure of TRAPATT waveforms, as shown here by some preliminary results.
