Abstract
The effect of magnetic saturation on the static and dynamic performance of a tuned-circuit Ievitator is investigated. The magnetisation curve is represented by a cubic function of the magnetic flux. Nonlinear equations which describe the levitator are analysed by the method of averaging. The occurrence of quasi-saturation is discussed analytically and verified by experiments.
