Abstract :
A closed-form solution for the large-signal step response of a MOS current mirror is derived. The resulting expression shows analytically that the mirror´s step response is characterized primarily by the final value of the input current for both rising and falling steps. The suitability of the expressions for behavioral modeling is demonstrated with comparisons to results obtained using the HSPICE circuit simulator and MOS level 3 models
