Abstract
Transmission of the video signals through a single satellite transponder in a Satellite News Gathering environment is complicated by the short duration of the broadcast feed, large number of uplink sites sequentially. accessing the satellite, equipment cost constraints, and small transmit antenna size. Two impairments to dual video operations are transponder power sharing and the phenomena known as chrominance crosstalk, where the chrominance information of one carrier is superimposed on the other. While several methods have been proposed to reduce the effects of the chrominance crosstalk, no universally applicable, simple solution exists to date.
