Abstract :
A 2.3-metre offset antenna is described. This antenna system has been optimized for transportable communication of news via Ku-band satellite. The offset design and 4-port feed system (dual polarized linear for both reception and transmission) were selected and optimized to meet the stringent pattern requirements imposed by the FCC for 2°satellite separations.
