EIC Volunteer profile

Tom Castaldi has been a Hoosier all his life. Born in 1939 in the north central Indiana town of Logansport, where he completed parochial elementary and public high school, Tom graduated with a major in Business Marketing from Indiana University, Class of 1961. He served with the U.S. Navy Reserve and was enrolled in its Officer Candidate School. Unfortunately, his service was cut short after his businessman father fell fatally ill. This prompted the military to issue Tom a discharge so that he could continue a grocery business which was the sole support for his widowed mother, brother, and two sisters. In 1963, he and Linda Jackson were married and later became the parents of six children.
