Abstract
An implementation of the Chen equation is presented along with an expanded set of results. A number of important system tradeoffs, such as the number of filters as a function of the acceptable loss factor, is demonstrated. In order to accomplish this, a method is presented for computing the maximum speed or angular mismatch between a target and velocity filter for a given acceptable loss in SNR. This allows one to determine the radial and angular spacing of filters in a filter bank for the specified loss factor, and consequently the necessary number of filters to cover a given velocity space. This might be useful, not only for design of static filter banks, but even more so in dynamic environments with changing filter needs
