Abstract
Experimental results that demonstrate the propagation of a slow wave mode along a microstrip line on Si-SiO2 systems are presented. The fundamental properties of the mode are briefly discussed. The measured propagation velocity of the slow mode varies from 1/10 to 1/30 of the light velocity in vacuum depending on the line dimensions.
