Abstract :
Commercial intelligent above-knee prostheses capture data for identifying the different stages of gait. Typical signals are the knee angle and forces applied on the prosthetic side. A different approach using accelerometer data for characterising the gait cycle is presented. Seven events are identified from the data captured on a healthy person walking on level terrain.
