Abstract :
A systematic approach is given for generating 2nd-order RC-oscillators using two resistors, two capacitors and a single finite-gain 3-terminal 2-port (3-T 2-port) controlled source (CS). The approach views the oscillators as made up of two parts, a frequency selective RC-network and a frequency independent finite gain CS. A set of 16 oscillators is derived which is verified to be topologically complete, i.e. no additional oscillator circuit can be generated with two resistors, two capactitors and a single 3-T CS.
