Abstract
The propagation of electromagnetic waves in cylindrical dielectric waveguides with gyro-electric cores is investigatied. The propagation constants are determined by solving numerically the corresponding charactersistic equation. The propagation of HE11 modes for single-mode guides is analysed in detail. The Farday rotation phenomena are also considered.
