Abstract :
A prototype system for automatically locating faults is described. All of the measurements are interpreted by computer. The instrument implements a three-step procedure for locating the fault. A global procedure is used to locate the fault to the nearest transformer. Precision methods are then used to localize and then pinpoint the fault. The general theory necessary for the implementation of the system is developed
