Abstract :
An LiNbO3 surface-acoustic-wave delay line has been constructed which has an 8¿ dB single-transit loss and a triple-transit suppression (relative to the single transit) greater than 40 dB over a 25% bandwidth. The device uses a multistrip coupler to divert the unwanted acoustic reflection into an acoustic absorber. No extra production steps are required.
