Abstract :
Resonant regenerative amplification of a CW signal at 28 µm in the pulsed H2O laser was obtained. The results indicate that pulse-to-pulse coherence in frequency is achieved at a power gain of ∼104. The experiments show that the polarization of the driving and driven signal need not be parallel.
