Abstract :
The problem of synthetising a specified transfer function between an input-output pair by pole-zero assignment using unity-rank feedback is considered. Relationships are derived which show explicitly the effect of unity-rank feedback on the transfer function between a given input and output, and an algorithm is presented for approximating the desired transfer function in a recursive manner.
