Abstract :
Qualitative and quantitative aspects of VUV photoionization of tetramethyl silane in liquid phase are examined: Ionization threshold, photoionization parameters (quantum yield, thermalization range parameter, range distribution function of thermalized electrons) and the possible existence of "autoionizing"states occurring in the ionization process. These data are crossed with those obtained by different authors using alternative methods: UV ionization of selected guest molecules or VUV absorption spectra.
