Abstract :
A simple method for designing doubly terminated all-pole ladder filters using lossy reactive components is described. Losses in series with inductances or in parallel with capacitances may be freely assigned without the constraint of uniformity. The method requires the solution of a set of simultaneous equations; no network analysis is needed. An example of a 7th-order filter is included, and the algorithm for generating the equations is given.
