Abstract :
A comparison is made between several different methods that have recently been proposed for efficiently modeling electrically thin material sheets in the finite-difference-time-domain (FDTD) method. The test problems used in the comparison are parallel-plate waveguides loaded with electrically thin dielectric (lossless) and conducting sheets for which exact solutions are available. The accuracy of the methods is illustrated by comparison with analytical results for model problems that have exact solutions
