  • Abstract
    The realisation of sharp cutoff lowpass filters by cascading low-Q 3rd-order blocks is proposed. An example shows that it is possible to reduce the pole Qs (and, consequently, the overall sensitivity) without increasing the number of blocks, with respect to the usual approach employing cascaded 2nd-order blocks.
