New Portable Video Cassette Recorder

At present, the consumer VCR which is most widely sold is the table type VCR which incorporates a TV tuner, the main function of which is to record TV programs. In order to increase the market penetration of VCRs we felt that it was critically important to develop an advanced portable VCR which can be used for outdoor recording together with a video camera as well as in the home. The main points considered when developing this portable VCR were: 1. better portability because of smaller size and lighter weight. 2. longer battery life because of lower power consumption. 3. easy operation combined with advanced functions. Bearing these points in mind, we developed a new portable VCR which is smaller, lighter and consumes less power when compared with conventional VCRs.
