Abstract
Given the source and load impedances and a preassigned transducer power-gain characteristic, the necessary and sufficient conditions are given for the existence of a lossless reciprocal equaliser which, when operating between the two given impedances, yields the desired transducer power-gain characteristic. The significance of the present approach is that the realisation of the equaliser involves only driving-point synthesis by the Darlington theory.
