Abstract :
The theory and practice of microwave tomography using a multiview/CW/holographic mode (SAT) are presented. It is shown that this process, based on image assembly in image space using an inverse diffraction technique and convolution, is analogous to the convolution back-projection process used in X-ray CAT. The duality with the Fourier domain approach and the difference in the practical implementation of image assembly in the two domains are shown. Experimental results for objects composed of either metal scatterers or dielectric material are given.
