Abstract :
A trisection fiber dispersion compensation technique has been demonstrated experimentally by a spliced trisection fiber with a dispersion value of less than 0.02 ps/nm-km over the wavelength band 1520-1560 nm. The technique provides a practical means to produce a transmission fiber with very low dispersion over a prescribed finite wavelength range.<>
