  • Abstract
    A V antenna with lumped capacitive loading is investigated experimentally. The loading is in the form of narrow transversal gaps along the antenna, which are progressively closer together towards the antenna ends. The antenna is found to exhibit remarkable broadband properties in admittance, and to have a more directive radiation pattern than a straight dipole with approximately similar loading.
