Millimeter-Wave Pretuned Modules

This paper presents pretuned modules for millimeter-wave devices. A general description of the device, some new developments of the technology, and the different techniques used for its characterization are covered. It is shown how the bias-to-waveguide coupling is made, and how these techniques lead to an oscillator which radiates directly into free space.
