Abstract :
A class of nonlinear-shift-register sequences is proposed for use as synchronisation words in systems employing the distributed method of synchronisation. Owing to the unique properties of these sequences, it is possible to achieve fast acquisition by simple circuits, even for long frames or multiframes.
