Abstract
To re-engineer a company the processes by which business is performed must be defined and challenged. The author introduces process mapping as a route to business excellence. The objective of process mapping is to describe business processes, using symbolic notation, on paper or in computer software. The resulting graphical map will identify the activities that occur in performing each process together with relevant details of the activities.
