  • Abstract
For engineers, applied magnetic fields are usually measured as B rather than calculated as H, which can lead to erroneous use of SI units. Specification of the internal magnetisation of ferromagnetic materials can also cause difficulty, particularly in changing from CGS magnetic units to SI units, because magnetisation has different dimensions in the two systems.
