Abstract :
An exact synthesis procedure for the design of even-order equally terminated transmission-line bandstop filters is described. The method is optimum in the sense that it does not introduce redundant unit elements into the network. The final network is obtained in the form of a cascade of unit elements and shunt open-circuited stubs.
