Abstract :
Computer simulations have been used to compare the performance of two common surface-acoustic-wave pulse-compressor geometries. Experimental results demonstrate that the desirable properties of both are achieved in a single device by using `inclined¿ transducers, which give improved performance over large fractional bandwidths.
