Abstract :
Multistrip couplers have been used in a number of applications: to reduce spurious modes, to make an efficient reflecting track changer, to operate a magic T etc. However, no results on the effects of varying the aperture of the sending transducer have yet been reported. Here we present measurements taken with an electrostatic probe of the transmitted signal amplitude for various transducer apertures, and discuss their implications.
