  • Abstract
    The letter shows that, by using a Taylor-series expansion for a single-valued nonlinear characteristic, expressions for its two input describing functions can be obtained as infinite series. The method is applicable to sinusoidal or Gaussian inputs in the presence of any other independent signal with a known probability-density function.
