Abstract
In the paper a new bit synchronisation method based on sensitivity function analysis is suggested. The essential feature of the method is its applicability when no a priori information is available. The method is of adaptive form and involves the joint synchronisation and estimation of the binary interval. Special attention is devoted to jitter and noise influence analysis. An experimental model has been implemented. The measured performances of the synchroniser fully agree with theoretical results.
