Abstract :
The dependence of the characteristic impedance of a coplanar waveguide is measured as a function of slotwidth and substrate thickness. For alumina substrates (¿r= 9.2), it is shown that the substrate thickness should be at least twice the slotwidth for an accurate determination of this impedance.
