Abstract :
A comparison between the features observable in the spectrum of the interference EMG and in the spectrum of the turning points of the interference EMG is made. Explanations of these features are presented, and the two methods are compared. In particular, evidence is presented which indicates that it is easier to infer the shapes of the action potentials from the turning-points spectrum, provided that synchronisation can be accounted for.
