Radiation from a solid-state laser

A correlation between the measured and theoretical radiation patterns of a solid-state laser gives additional confirmation of the laser parameters. It is shown that, by virtue of the laser geometry, an integration of the aperture field alone gives incorrect results, and an additional factor exists, which must be included to obtain accurate theoretical results.
