Abstract :
New liquid crystalline compounds with a high negative dielectric anisotropy and wide temperature range have been prepared, and their dynamic-scattering properties compared with other materials. These compounds give a slightly lower threshold voltage, followed by a rapid increase of dynamic scattering above threshold, and should provide improved performance in low-voltage display devices.
