Abstract :
The various parameters involved in the bandwidth of image guide are discussed, viz., the aspect ratio and dieletric constant. Three definitions of bandwidth are given involving dispersion, wave-guiding properties and variation of charaeteristic impedance with velocity. Theoretical values of these definitions are given and the paper concludes with a discussion about their relative inportance.
