Abstract :
The complex natural frequencies for the thin-wire antenna or scatterer are computed from Hallén´s integral equation and are compared with those obtained from Pocklington´s equation. The good agreement between the two methods shows that the concepts of the singularity-expansion method are independent of the type of integral equation employed in the formulation of the antenna or scattering problem.
