Abstract :
The partial-fraction expansion of functions with real, simple poles generally yields positive real (p.r.) and non-p.r. terms. Sufficient conditions are derived for the p.r. terms to be able to compensate for the non-p.r. terms in a specific way, such that the outcome represents a RLC canonically realisable immittance.
