Utilisation factior of a waveguidefred slot array

The distribution of the amplitude excitation of a waveguide-fed slot array has been found as a sum of two exponentials by numerical methods. The corresponding expression for the utilization factor, the ration of actual again to 4L/ ¿, has been derived. The variation in amplitude distribution and the utilization with frequency have been computed for a 2/-element slot array. Only loose coupling of each element with the waveguide is considered.
