  • Abstract
    The use of orthomode couplers to make a variable coupler suitable for power combining and distribution is considered. An experimental model at 3 GHz has been manufactured. Test results are reported, including high-power tests to 500 kW. Good performance was obtained over a 5% bandwidth.
