Abstract :
Microstrip antennas have been extensively studied, most of them being patches of various shapes. Here, two kinds of microstrip antennas are presented: the open microstrip antenna (OMA), with four magnetic walls at the periphery, and the hybrid microstrip antenna (HMA), with magnetic walls and electric walls in the same structure. In each case a cavity model has been used. Experimental and theoretical results are in good agreement.
