Abstract
Following the use of Waterman´s theory for calculating cross-sections and depolarisation ratios of spheroidal raindrops at microwave frequencies, theoretical methods are described for generalising results to arbitrary shape and orientation of the drops, with a view to obtaining depolarisation and differential attenuation for forward and back scattering.
