Abstract :
The influence of a resistorRs, which is added in series with the input protection circuit of a CMOS inverter, and the input parasitic capacitanceCs of that inverter on the oscillation-period stability is analysed in this paper. It is shown that the optimum value of the resistanceRs depends on the oscillation frequency and the timing elementsR andC.
