Abstract :
A simple Markov chain model for differentially encoded CPSK Channels faciliates the calculation of the probability of the occurrence of several most probable error patterns in a given codeword. Several error correcting codes which can efficiently correct several most-probable error patterns are proposed and their error performances are analyzed.
