Abstract
The role of an object-oriented environment in preventing, detecting, and resolving service interference is discussed, emphasizing detection and resolution. The effect of the introducing a new service in an object-oriented environment can be modeled and analyzed properly, allowing the service designer to resolve interference. A comprehensive example is included to clarify the concepts. The object-oriented terms used are defined and classified.<>
